Town of Korčula

Old Town Korčula: Stroll through the narrow, cobbled streets of the old town, which is surrounded by walls and arranged in a herringbone pattern to protect against the wind. Here you can find historical landmarks such as St. Mark’s Cathedral (a Gothic-Renaissance building) and the alleged birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo.
Korčula is famous for its indigenous wine varieties, especially the white wine Grk from Lumbarda and Pošip.
